Each year all across Canada A & W have a car show and raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. This year rather than having just a car show it was decided to add in a cruise between the different A&W’s starting at the verge and ending at North Kamloops.
![]() | Audrey and Engel Bouwmeester while registering were talking with Ron Popve the organizer of the event. He told them that the owner of the truck stop was going to match the funds raised up to a sum of $5,000. At the time of registration you were given a sheet of directions that was to be initial at each A & W visited. and then turned in at the end for a chance of winning one of the many door prizes.
From
the our Chapter we had a good showing of 15 members driving their cars and 4 others joined in for a teen burger and support. of the cause. During this time A&W donates a % of every teen burger sold that day to the MS Soceity

The event was very well organized as when we left the Verge a tow truck acted as the pace vehicle and led us down TCH to the Valleyview A & W location.. Leaving the A & W and still following the pace truck we headed East to Oriole road as there was two left turn lanes here for access back on to the TCH. After the Valleyview A&W it was a drive over the Thompson River on Hwy 5 and a visit to the Kamloops POWOW grounds. There was a number of people camped there as they had to vacate their homes and frams because of the many wildfires in the area.

When leaving the Pow Wow grounds and was time time to get back on Hwy 5 the police was helping with traffic control as I am sure we must have had between 60 & 70 cars in attendance.
